 July 17, 2005 | Speaker's Corner - London, England Hyde Park was the last stop on our trip to London. By the time we finally made it there the sun was going down and it was getting colder. The famous Speaker's Corner is in the park, a place where you can get on you soap box (literally) and debate about whatever you want. There were several speakers each standing on their box debating with the ten or twenty men surrounding them. Politics, religion...whatever it was they all seemed pretty angry. At that time of day it seemed like we were the only tourists around and after a Muslim man stopped in mid-sentence to angrily tell me I could not take his picture, we moved on pretty quickly. |
